We ended August around 80pts ahead and it was a big boost to the old confidence.

September has started slower but there has been days where we have been patient and left the action alone.

Saturday the 11th seen us only tip one horse called Hurricane Ivor. Duly the horse delivered advised at 1PT EW. Very rare I only tip one on a Saturday but I was finding myself forcing another selection. I seen sense and kept with the solo selection.

No tips Sunday but we were back in action today (Monday 13th) and again only the one selection was made. Brother Pat, a morning drifter advised at 11/2 1PT EW. Won very nicely and more pts in the bag.

I was glad to see this horse drift this morning as I think he has a solid chance. He looked a stayer when digging deep at Market Rasen two starts ago. He had to really grind it out over 2m5f when just getting up to beat Train Hill. That horse went well next time out over hurdles when 2nd in a handicap. Followed that up with a solid run at Uttoxeter where he was a little outpaced early before staying on to go down by 3ls in the end. Upped in trip to 2m7f today and I feel it will suit him. Tried this distance a few starts ago but it was in a amateur jockey race and was his in a hurdle. With two runs in the bank over fences, I think this distance will suit Brother Pat. Stable could not be in  better form, operating at a 31% strike rate in the last 14 days. I would be surprised if he couldn’t make the frame at least in race like this.
